Demons torment a soul by dancing around them in a mocking manner, moving in an unnatural and ugly way with claws and scorpion tails. Their strange demon dance crushes and torments the soul infinitely as they continue circling them in their infernal round.

Demons prance when they torture a soul.
Did you know that they did that?
Prance on billy-goat feet,
As dainty as a maiden
Who lifts her petticoat to
Avoid the stain of a mud puddle.
They do it to make a mockery of beauty.
They skirl. They skitter and twirl like
A dead leaf caught in an autumn wind.
They flicker and dart
Snaky tongues in and out,
Frolicking in their ugliness
Around me.
They poke at me with claws
Green-black and sharp,
Like some old time long-ago
Dead Romero zombie chick.
They snuffle and snahg,
And chuffle and snort,
And guff and funf and hunnah.
Nasty red scorpie tails prickle me
As they jostle me with things that
Aren’t elbows or knees.
I am crushed within their strange
Little demon-dance.
Mine is an infinite lunatic’s torment,
And they won’t stop this infernal
hunch-backed round.
