This document provides information about the National Craft Assessment and Certification Program's Rigging Fundamentals (RIGFUN38) assessment. The 2-hour, closed-book exam contains 40 multiple choice questions covering basic rigging, rigging equipment, and rigging practices. Candidates must score 70% or higher to pass. Upon passing, NCCER will provide appropriate credentials. Exam results are maintained in NCCER's National Registry and become part of candidates' training records. The focus of the assessment is to evaluate candidates' fundamental rigging skills like selecting and inspecting hardware, attaching slings and lifts safely, using communication signals, and operating hoists and jacks while demonstrating safety.
