Verse One: “And I saw another mighty Angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire”
This is not an Angel it is Jesus, Revelation 1:11-19, Rev 22:13-16
2. Revelation 9 - Review
Truly stated, NOT a Statement of TRUTH
Jesus makes a characterization of the speed Satan fell from Heaven, a metaphor because Angels are not lighting
Luke 10:18
“And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.”
3. Job (Job 1:21) the Lord giving and taking away, Job was making a statement of what he “believed” he was not speaking
figuratively or metaphorically. God did NOT take anything from Job.
Job and Manoah
Manoah and his wife call an Angel a man - Judges 13:11-21
4. Review - John called Jesus an Angel Revelation 22:8-16 John’s statements is not a metaphor, He believed Jesus was
an Angel at the time, truly stated but not true.
Small subtleties effect your faith - Tau Cross not Latin Cross - Especially during spiritual warfare
5. Rev 9:2: “And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace;
and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit”
Review - Bottomless Pit
The bottomless pit - Greek “abyss,” is an actual “physical” place located on earth. It is a holding place for
the most evil of Angels and plagues of the Lord
(Rev 11:7-8, 17:8, beast rises from pit, Satan is bound in pit - Rev 20:1-3, Gen. 6:2-4, 2Peter 2:4, Jude 6)
It is one of the secret things of God, just as the Garden of Eden is an actual physical place located
on the Earth.
NOTE: Key is in Heaven
6. Ancient Egyptians carved locusts on tombs in 2470 to 2220 BC predating Egypt plagues. The account
Exodus 10:11-15 took place in Egypt around 1446 BC. In the ninth century 801-900AD, the Chinese authorities
appointed anti-locust officers with 173 outbreaks over a period of 1924 years.
Type and Shadow accounts of Locust plagues throughout history
7. The Rocky Mountain locust is an extinct species of locust that ranged through the western half of the
United States and Canada until the end of the 19th century.
Their swarms in numbers were far larger than any other locust species.
In 1875 there was a swarm in the Western US estimated at 198,000 square miles (greater than the area of CA),
weighing 27.5 million tons consisting of 12.5 trillion insects.
A type and shadow in size not scope
Exodus 10:14-15 - The difference in tribulation will be the substance of the locust Rev 9:3-10 - covered whole earth?
(took place 1446 BC) - Egypt , India, Iraq, China populations all existed. Truly stated but….1492 Columbus -Falt
8. Actual hornets in China
Review - Type and Shadow - Insect aggression signs begin all over the world
Giant killer hornets attack China
Swarms of deadly hornets have killed more than 40 people and injured more than 1,600 in northern China.
Victims of the attack have been left with deep, dark craters in their skin the size of bullet wounds. Over the past
three months January - March 2017 the cities of Angkang, Hanzhong and Shangluo have been worst affected.

9. Revelation 10
Verse One: “And I saw another mighty Angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his
head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire”
This is not an Angel it is Jesus, Revelation 1:11-19, Rev 22:13-16
10. The rainbow over Jesus’ head is symbolic of God’s covenant with man and the Earth, The rainbow identifies Jesus
as man - Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s word on the Earth.
(John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”).
Isaiah 44:6 “with His redeemer”
The rainbow is type and shadow of Gods promise, which was associated with Christ as the promise of the
redemption of man, which God made to Adam
Genesis 3:15
• The seed of the woman refers to humanity, beginning with Abel and has its ultimate fulfillment in Christ.
• The bruised heel of the seed of the woman refers to the crucifixion of Christ.
• The bruised head of the serpent speaks to the final judgment of Satan.
(Genesis 9:9-13)
11. Sacrosanct to the promise of God is the advent of the sacrifice, Cain killed Able because God accepted Able’s
sacrifice over Cain’s, (Genesis 4:3-10) (Hebrews 10) Jesus the final sacrifice.
12. Many references to Christ, describe Him in glory, or in an aspect of Him in judgment. Rev 1:13-16
• “Behold He commeth with clouds” (Rev 1:7)
• “His face as it were the sun” (Rev. 10:1) (Matthew 17:2)
• “and His feet as pillars of fire” (Rev. 10:1, Rev. 1:15, 10:1, 19:11-13, 16, Daniel 7:9)
The reference to His face as the “Sun” is Christ’s unveiled glory. His feet as “pillars” represents strength, the “fire”
reference is associated with His judgment. All of man’s works will be judged by Christ, through fire.
(1 Corinthians 3:13-15; 2 Corinthians 5:10).
13. Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder o
soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
• The word of God is Jesus. John 1:1 “In the beginning was the word and the word was God and the word was with God”
• There was never a time when Jesus did not exist and was not with God (John 17:5, 24).
• The two edged sword - Jesus speaks unfiltered truth.
• “piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit” - Jesus can separate who you are as a spirit, and what you think as a man.
• “and the joints and marrow” - His ability to separate the things you do in the flesh instinctively from what you do that’s well thought out beforehand.
• “and is a discerner of the thoughts and intent of the heart” - (Proverbs 24:12) His ability to separate what you have thought about and what thoughts have
made it into your heart, what you intend to act on, whether you had the opportunity to act on those thoughts or not, good or bad.
The Scope of Christ Judgment
14. Verse two: “And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth”
The little book opened in Jesus’ hand is the book he took out of Gods right hand, which contains the tribulation
judgments (Rev. 5:7).
15. His feet on the earth and the sea, represent his right to dominion over the world.
16. Verse three: “And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices”
The seven thunders cover these seven continents of the world. This means that when Jesus raised His voice, it was
immediately followed with these quaking thunderous sounds heard all over the world.
The World is made up of 5 oceans and seven continents, a continent is one of seven major land masses on the
Earth. The oceans are the Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic, Indian and Southern oceans., the continents are Africa, Antartica,
Asia, Australia, Europe, North and South America.
17. Verse four: “And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven
saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not”
These thunders are the voices of Angels introducing the last seven plagues that are to come in the tribulation, but
John is not to write them down yet, he is to wait for the conclusion of the balance of the vision for context.
18. Verse five: “And the Angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth, lifted up his hand to heaven”
The Angel referred to is Jesus, not an actual Angel, John is using this description of Jesus as an Angel to describe
the glory He has.
19. Verse six: “And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and
the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be
time no longer”
Jesus swears by God Himself, who is the one that created the Heavens and all the Host,
the Earth and all that is in it. (Genesis 1:1-25, Job 12:7-10, Psalm 95:4-5, Romans 1:12, Isaiah 45:5-6, 21, 44:24,)
Isaiah 44:6, Jesus WITH God.
God gave Jesus preeminence Col 1:18-19, Matt 28:18
20. Verse seven: “But in the days of the voice of the seventh Angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God
should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets”
“the mystery of God should be finished” - referring to the seven plagues to come.
“as he hath declared to his servants the prophets” - refers to the Old & New testament Prophets who have given
prophesies on the tribulation.
21. Verse eight: “And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which
is open in the hand of the Angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth”
John is told by an actual Angel to go and take the book out of the hand of Jesus.
22. Verse nine: “And I went unto the Angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it,
and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey”
Taking and eating the book means, John should meditate on all that he has seen and was spoken to him.
The bitterness of the book is because the judgments are devastating to man and John as a man empathizes.
Bitterness
23. The little book opened in Jesus’ hand, is the book He took out of Gods right hand (Rev. 5:7)
“eat that I give thee” (Ezekiel 2:7-8)
Prophetic words are always bittersweet, because a pruning always takes place before the bloom.
The sweet aspect of these prophecies, visions and writings are to know that wrongs will be made right.
24. Verse ten: “And I took the little book out of the Angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey:
and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter”
This is the realization of the emotional hurt of the judgment. It is sweet only because of the justice.
The bitterness is because of the degree of loss of life and suffering man experiences.
For this reason, in small part, God will heal the hearts of man and wipe away the tears and sorrow. (Isaiah 25:8,
Rev. 21:4; 7:17,)
25. Verse eleven: “And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and
tongues, and kings”
Even though John was on Patmos, in exile at the time of this vision, the writing of Revelation is the
fulfillment of this aspect of the prophesy.
26. Works tried by fire
1 Corinthians 3:13-15
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Judgment seat of Christ
2 Corinthians 5:10
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good
bad.”
Degree of judgement Jesus uses
Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and
marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Seven Things God Hates
Proverbs 6:16-19
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
The natural end of the path, God takes his hand off you
Romans 1:20-32, 1 Corinthians 5:1-7
Examine your Judgment before the Lord
27. You must value your relationship with the Lord more than people
EXERCISE
1. Be brutally truthful which seven you’ve participated in regardless of your justification
2. What is the truth of WHY you do this, whats the source?
3. Accept what God has said about you, not what others have said about you
• You can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13)
• God will finish His work in you (Philippians 1:6)
• No condemnation in Christ if you walk after the spirit (Romans 8:1, Gal 5:22-23)
• Nothing can separate you from the love of God (Romans 8:38-39)
• All things will work for your good (Romans 8:28)
• God will not allow your circumstances to take you out (1 Corinthians 10:13)
• God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
• Your life’s difficulties work to your glory with the Lord (2 Corinthians 4:17)
• God wants more for you than you want for yourself (1 Corinthians 2:9)
• God is for you, no one can be against you? (Romans 8:31)
4. Ask the Lord to forgive you for participating in the sin
5. Where possible, make it right with the people you have offended, ask for their forgiveness
6. Accept an accountability partner to get it done in 5 days
7. Note what the Holy Spirit says to you and how more frequently He speaks - evidence
Mark 8:35
“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save
it.” (Matt 16:25, Luke 9:24)
2Peter 2:20-22, James 4:17 -To know the word and NOT do it
