Objective
I am seeking opportunity, utilizing the skills I have gained through years of managing all
aspects of a restaurant. My people skills, coupled with my creativity and analytical
ability, yield very satisfying results, especially in improving sales. Also, using my
management and leadership skills I have been able to motivate employees in a

As the leader of the catering team I developed sales plans on an individual bases to
gain new clients, oversee production of catering orders, implement deliveries and
expedite setup at event location I was able to help in tripling catering sales in my first 2
years and continue to further increase catering by an average of 15% per year since.
General Manager 9/2006 – 1/2009 Broadway Grill, Cleveland, OK
Responsible for all daily operations, including: training the front-of-the-house staff in
the art of selling in order to increase revenues for the restaurant and for the staff;
inventorying; ordering all food, supplies, and services; hiring/firing and supervising
all employees; and booking and planning all banquets; I have been very successful
in lowering the expenses of the restaurant (food, linen, and labor costs) without
discernible lessening of quality or service.

Assisted owner in opening new restaurant. Ultimately held responsible, by owner,
for all daily operations. Responsibilities included: ordering of food and wine; booking

all employees; all bookkeeping; preparing most correspondence, including items
related to social security, unemployment compensation, and all restaurant licensing.
