 “Law and Order Automation” as a part of The Great Mind Challenge(TGMC) sponsored by
IBM (under development):
In this project, I have tried to create an online interface to deliver next generation police and
law enforcement reporting tools. Setting up intelligence platforms that agencies use to take
incoming incident reports, and allow these enforcement agencies to reallocate resources to
much needed community areas is also a part of the online platform. The users of this online
interface are - Citizen, Police officers (Constable to DGP), Detectives, and Administrator.
The project has been developed using the following-
 JSP
 Eclipse
 DB2
 WebSphere
The system provides the following functionalities:
 Creation of virtual police station
 Log complains
 Generate reports by police station, date, criminal activity, jurisdiction etc.
 Sharing of case details for smoother and faster governance.
Below mentioned are the following requirement that was incorporated in the system:
 Appointing of police officers to a particular police station which is present in a
specific zone or to a specific district as a first time setup, he should be transferable
at later time.
 Police station has several departments like Law and Order, Women Protection,
Cybercrime, Traffic and control, CBI, etc. Separate module for each dept would
be needed.
 When a complaint is made it undergoes various processes like FIR, Charge Sheet,
Property Seizure, court disposal etc all these activities are performed by a PS.
 Maintaining the criminal information state wise or area wise or age wise is
mandatory.
 Citizens should be able to apply for various licenses like Arms, loud speaker,
Hotel/lodge, browsing centre, mass meetings etc., and the officer should be able to
approve/reject.
 “CBT (Computer Based Training) on Reflection of Light” as a part of the 2nd
semester
project work of Masters in Multimedia Development using director and flash.
 Currently working on “Detection of faulty regions on PCB with Image Processing” as final
year thesis paper of Masters in Multimedia Development.

4. ACHIEVEMENTS
 A journal on my B.tech Final Year Project “LAW & ORDER AUTOMATION” has
been selected and published in http://www.ijert.org/browse/volume-2-2013/May-2013-
edition.
 My B.tech final year project on “LAW & ORDER AUTOMATION” has been selected in
the top list of the first round of evaluation of TGMC 2012 conducted by IBM.
