Suzan Odabasi was born in Germany to a German mother and Turkish father. She moved to the US in 2006 for college, earning degrees from St. Norbert College and Marquette University. She has worked as a freelance journalist, interned at several publications, and founded her own digital strategy business called Yeni Media. Her goals include finishing a documentary, becoming fluent in Turkish, having a family, and continuing to use her writing and communication skills.

2. Between Identities I was born on June 10, 1985 in Kirchen, Germany. My mother is German and my father is Turkish. In 2006, I moved to Wisconsin, USA for college. That’s why I like to say I live between three different cultures, which I believe has made me a critical thinker and a global citizen.

4. Journalism I have loved to read and write since grade school, and decided I wanted to be a journalist in 8th grade. Over the years, I have learned more and more about the field and why I am so fascinated by it
