PROFESSIONAL CHALLENGES & ACHIVEMENTS
SHELL Marina Project: Due to the area constraint in Singapore, the entire plant has planned with
less distance between structure to structure and need to follow the local authority safety rules.
Preparing Plot plan, design of the structures and planning for construction was a big challenge. After

done lot of optimized engineering trials, finally our team has succeeded to complete project within
stipulated time and budget. Our team got the appreciation from client for the engineering & planning.
Thermal Power Project: Due to high ash content in the Indian coal, the sizing of coal handling plant
has occupied the more than other packages in preliminary design. Our team has done lot of R&D to
reduce the area of plant and finally discovered the new technology to transport the ash through coal
handling system. 20% of steel tonnage was reduced by this technology and overall cost of the project
as well. Company has given the incentives to all team members for their contribution.
Afghanistan Parliament Building Project: The parliament building consists of different blocks and
all blocks are connecting to each other. Each block is in octagonal shape with huge dome covered as a
roof for all blocks. Due to large diameter of dome, the weight of structure getting huge. Our design
team along with reputed Indian university professors has done design trails to reduce the weight of
structure and introduced the internal ring beam concept to reduce the radial stresses.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS:
Project 1: Residual Behavior of Confined Fiber Reinforced High Strength Concrete Exposed
to Elevated Temperatures.
Description: (Master’s Degree Project): The aim of the study is to investigate the residual behavior
of confined polypropylene fiber reinforced HSC after exposure to high temperatures and the
parameters studied are transverse reinforcement, effect of addition of fibers and concrete compressive
strength. All specimens were heated to different temperatures ranging from room temperature to 8000
C and tested under axial compression. The results showed that, PP fibers are more effective when
concrete is exposed to high temperatures.
Project 2: Prestress Calculations for PSC T-Girder Bridge.
Description: (Master’s Degree Project): In this project I developed a generalized programme for
Prestressing Calculations to the design of simply supported (SS) PSC Post Tensioned T-girder Bridge
in Excel sheet. STAAD analysis results were used to calculate cable profile and frictional and slip loss
for cables have been calculated in Excel sheet.
Project 3: Durability Studies on LIME - STABILIZED FLYASH.
Description: (Bachelor’s Degree Project): The objective of this project is to improve the Safe
Bearing Capacity of the soil using Lime and Fly ash and also durability studies.
Project 4: Design of Elementary School Building.
Description: (Diploma Project): The objective of this project is to Design a Multi story Building
(Primary school building). This design was approved by R&D Dept., Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
