Skills & Abilities
MANAGEMENT
· I have managed one job at Sabah International acting as Project Manager and have taken
it upon myself to complete the responsibilities of a project manager for several other jobs.
SALES
· I have experience with cost estimation/ bid proposals, which are major responsibilities of
a salesperson at my company. This includes an initial take-off of floorplans to get a device
count and cost estimation as well as considering other costs – permits, labor, production,
and other factors – that go into bidding on a job.
COMMUNICATION
· Currently I work with the sales team, design team, project managers, the fire
departments, and customers. Communication is key in dealing with multiple
personalities, especially considering that each type of person I interact with may be
asking for something different. I have shown the ability at Sabah to communicate well
with multiple types of personalities and get along well with others.
LEADERSHIP
· I would love the opportunity to lead others. I am not the type to lead with an iron fist, but
rather I enjoy forming good relationships with those around me, treating others with
respect and as equals, which almost always results in the same treatment back.

Experience
SUBMITTAL COORDINATOR | SABAH INTERNATIONAL | DECEMBER 2013 – PRESENT
· Handle paperwork for and processing of fire-related permits. This department is the last
step before drawings may be approved and work begun; timeliness is key here as
contractors are on a tight schedule. We answer to the project managers for any technical
questions the fire departments have, however once I felt comfortable with the company I
took more control in getting jobs processed, including executing some the P.M.s’
responsibilities. I also have some design experience with the fire alarm drawings
themselves.
TUTOR/ COLLEGE MENTOR | MATHEMATICS ACHIEVEMENT ACADEMIES | SUMMERS
OF 2011-2013
· Aided the teacher of a summer program; worked with students, keeping them on task as
well as assisting them in their studies. Forming good working relationships as well as
friendly relationships paid dividends in gaining the trust of the students and having them
allow me to help them.
HOME TUTOR FOR PERSONAL CLIENTS | SELF-EMPLOYED | SUMMER 2012-FALL 2013
· Used similar skills gained while working as a college mentor as well as relationships built
to begin the process of freelance tutoring. I enjoyed being able to connect with the
children as well as being my own boss. I feel very driven when I am able to set and fulfill
my goals as I see fit. I believe this is a skill that can be utilized well in a company setting,
as I am able to draw from my own experiences and “survival skills” to provide valuable
input in helping achieve company goals.
