Sun Wiriyasiriwathana has a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Mahidol University in Thailand. He has relevant coursework in areas such as advanced chemical process control and materials purification processes. Some of his projects include determining reaction parameters for selective catalytic reduction of NOx and designing and simulating a shell and tube heat exchanger. He has professional experience as a Process Engineer at Nikon (Thailand) Co., Ltd. where he managed production lines and ensured compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. He also interned at Multibax Public Co., Ltd. where he improved machine efficiencies and created annual savings.

EDUCATION California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) Long Beach, California, U.S.A.
Master of Science in Chemical Engineering (GPA 3.64) Jan 2014 – May 2015
Mahidol University Nakhon Pathom, Thailand
Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering May 2007 - Apr 2011
RELEVANT COURSES
Advanced chemical process control, advanced reactor kinetics, advanced transport phenomena,
materials purification processes
PROJECTS The Application of Solid Catalysts in Selective Catalytic Reduction of NOx: Determined
reaction parameters including space velocities, oxygen, water, ammonia, and nitrogen dioxide
concentration over V2O3 base catalyst. Wrote technical paper and performed oral presentation to fellow
students and the professor.
Heat Exchanger Design: Designed and simulated a shell and tube heat exchangers by using Microsoft
Excel. Obtained the optimum parameters, such as tube diameter, shell diameter, and baffle spacing.
Pollution Prevention in Petroleum Refineries: Collected and analyzed petroleum pollution from
refineries including atmospheric emissions, liquid effluents, and solid wastes. Investigated various ways
to prevent pollution for a typical petroleum refinery.
The Study of Production of Charcoal and Bar Briquette from Biomass of Physic Nut: Conducted
process studies to find a new alternative energy, which was physic nut, instead of fossil fuel. Evaluated
the amount of charcoal heating values by using Bomb Calorimeter and acquired the optimum condition
to get the maximum heating value.
