ACADEMIC PROJECTS
• Email Analysis Leveraging Hadoop Dec ‘13- May ‘14
The main task was to perform email analysis of Enron dataset. Analyzed the data from social network analytic perspective. The insights gained
propose potential benefit for modeling the development of crisis scenarios and the investigation of indicators of failure. Also implemented a
threading algorithm using tf-idf approach to link messages related to same subjects to increase efficiency in retrieval.
Technologies: Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce and Python.
• Weather Forecast Website and Android Application Aug ‘15- Dec ‘15
Developed a website which gives the weather forecast on an hourly, daily and weekly basis based on the location entered using the forecast.io
API. Also developed an android application for the same.
Technologies: Bootstrap, JQuery, AJAX, JSON and Android.
• Load allocation and time table generation Aug ‘13- Sept ‘13
The key aspect of this project dealt with allocation of subjects and load calculation for the teachers in the department according to the priorities
given and generation of timetable accordingly.
Technologies : Oracle 9i, Visual Basic 6.
OTHER PROJECTS
• Project on family planning with an NGO – Educational Movement for Minorities Dec ‘13- Mar ‘14
Collected and stored the data of past 10 years of over 193 government hospitals in Maharashtra (State). Wrote several scripts to handle
inconsistent schema and to extract the data relevant to the tables and to handle missing values. The hospitals were then clustered using various
parameters and detailed analysis was performed and submitted to the NGO which will aid the State Government in outlining future strategies.
