RICOH ARENA
• As it is based on Coventry City we will be doing part of are filming at the home of the
Sky Blues. The majority of the filming will be set hear as we will discuss the issues that
has happened with the club and what has happened at the stadium since they moved
there in 2005. The capacity of the Ricoh is 32,609. It was built for a premiership team as
Coventry were expected to be back in the premiership as they were one of the
favourites to get promoted. It is partly owned by Wasps RFU and England U21’s play
some of their matches there as well. It was also a venue for the 2012 Olympics and is a
multi purpose stadium as it is used for concerts and other exhibition. It cost £113
million to build and is the second biggest stadium in League One with Sheffield
United’s stadium, Brammall Lane beating it by less than 100 seats. There is a hotel and
a successful casino inside the ground as well as a 6,000 square foot Exhibition Hall that
is used for many things.
SIXFIELDS
• We will also head to Sixfields which is the home of Northampton Town. We are
recording there to talk about the situation that happened with Coventry moving there
for a season because of a row with the Ricoh Arena owners that led them to leave the
stadium and bring the club to a new low. Sixfields
OUTSIDE VENUE
• We will be going somewhere outside to give an interview with two Coventry City fans
so that they can give us there opinion on the team and it also shows it from a fans
perspective.
• With it being outside it gives the interview a more relaxed environment and makes it
look natural rather than formal.
