Cables & Fire Performance Cables.
• This company is not having a well known
name in the market due the service and
pricing comparing to other competitors.
47. • Cardiffcable (Aust) PTY LTD>
• Is also a Chinese firm , and they produce
flexible cable, control cable, cable, elevator
towline cable, UL cable, CE., Their products
are widely used in machinery
manufacturing, iron and steel,
petrochemical, railway locomotives,
electrical installation, industrial automation
and other industries and fields.
• Infinity Cables, The above company is also a
Chinese company having their supply in
Australia, UK and in New Zealand, but the
impact of the Business is very bad ,
• There were several cases of fire occur at
warehouse and homes after their wires were
in use. The insulation could become
prematurely brittle with age and sometimes
have leakage too , The insulation becomes
brittle and the cables are disturbed, the
insulation could break and expose live
conductors, resulting in possible electric
shock or fires.
48. • The Australian Competition and Consumer
Commission's has told a Senate Economics
committee estimates hearing of Infinity
electrical cables had failed ageing tests.
• The problem is that the PVC protection
around the cables that is supposed to
provide insulation is expected to become
prematurely brittle.
• Infinity cables were supplied in all states and
territories, It is estimated that around 40,000
households and businesses may have been
affected. The cable was imported from
China with failing to comply with the AS/NZS
5000.2:2006.
• Here below is a news of the Infinity cable
which destroy several Homes in Perth.

49. Market Research
and news.
• Market for insulated wire and cable in
Australia increases by 6% in 2014, driven by
growing investment in energy and
telecommunications infrastructure,
increasing business spending and recovering
construction industry. Imports are increasing,
China becomes number one trade partner
as local firms expand their business
cooperation with Chinese manufacturers in
order to reduce costs. Local manufacturers
like Tycab, General Cables and Australian
Cables ,see turnover gradually shrink in
billion Australian Dollars. Turnover estimated
to shrink by 2% per annum on average over
forecast period as industry is unable to
compete in global markets.
• While the Electric Cable and Wire
Manufacturing industry has fared better than
many other manufacturing industries in
Australia over the past five years, the industry
has still been plagued by volatility and
uncertainty. High import competition,
uncertainty in downstream markets and
ongoing changes
50. • the construction sector has struggled, with
growth remaining relatively stagnant during
the five-year period, contributing to demand
volatility for electric cable and wire,
electronics and electrical equipment
manufacturers collectively contribute about
30% of New Zealand’s total electronics
output.
• It would be a good chance to enter the
market as there are huge scope to develop
the brand name now, Construction,
Buildings, and moreover the population are
increasing day by day and the opportunity
are developing for the residence there.
• New Zealand is expected to grow faster than
U.K as its population swelled to 500,000 in the
past 10 years. Statistics New Zealand’s Profile
2015 reveals new data on the country’s
economy, lifestyle and environment. The
Population is 4.2million and the area of New
Zealand is 10373sqmil, every year there is a
3.8% population growth ,
51. • The Unemployment rate in New Zealand is
5.4% and the government is investing to
make more job opportunities such as trades,
construction, mining, and country side
developing to make the most of the level to
decrease.
• Population of Australia was estimated to be
23.5million people with total size of
7692024km2 of the countr. Which gives us a
figure of 2.6km2 per person ,
• Every year the population increase of 4.6%
• Sydney and Melbourne’s populations are
projected to explode by 60 to 80 per cent to
reach almost 8 million inhabitants . The solo
person household will move from 23% to 27%
and will be fast closing in on traditional
couple and couple with kids households.
• The increase of 175,000 households to our
population each year is set to continue over
the next 5 years, and we’ll continue to see
an increase in the demand for housing
52. • Australia's estimated seasonally adjusted
unemployment rate for 2015 was 6.0%
• Government improve labor market
outcomes via spending on construction,
mining and many of the country sides are
being develop , such as building apartments,
shopping malls, school, community halls to
help the jobs seekers to plan and develop
their own town or province.
• While the people are paying the High tax in
the country the government is also using the
same amount to employ skillful workers and
labor to develop the unused land to a better
living environment.
53. Meeting with our
2 Main customer
and suggestions
from the
directors.
• I had 2 major meetings with the director of
DCS DATA World New Zealand and Ampec
Technologies Australia .
• Ampec Technologies Director Mr. Raymond
had suggest we 3F to support them with the
MOQ useage , and therefore they will be
importing a small coiling machine to coil the
excess material to small coil and sell off in the
market , whereas the companies in the
assemblies fields are only buying small units
from Elements14, Mouser etc… for example a
meter of UL 1007 AWG 18 could be sold at
USD$0.7/m , The Silicone Tubes, Heat
Shrinkable Tubes, Fiber glass Tubes and the
Cable Ties could also be packed like the
retail packs and list on their website to
encourage more people to get from there as
One Stop Solution. For the Building
Wires/Cables we would also try to test the
wires and cables according to the (AS/NZS
3000:2007) standards.
54. Meeting
overview.
• The opportunities are still there and it’s a time for
the trade to happen. Amptech is a well known
and well established company in Australia and
New Zealand in supplying the components and
Elec trail assessors, The company remain to use
a very traditional way of advertising and
marketing via some online magazine and
booklets in both countries famous advertising
board every month such as ECD solutions
magazine, Electroniconline or Whats new
electronic etc..
• DCS Data World I’ve met the director Mr.
Marlon ,They are also a well known company in
New Zealand wellington in supply's of wiring
accessories , wiring harness , They are leading
the other companies like the belden, nexans,
Raychem these kind of companies distributions
and they are also very much interested in
marketing our products in their country such as
the building wires and insulating Sleeves, Cable
Ties and they are welcome of many other types
of related products to market if we are willing to
support them with our best in promoting the
goods and service and hope to look for
cooperating on the above business.
•
55. Personal View.
My personal view is we could set up an office
together with DCS and Ampec , therefore we could
establish the market in both countries ,
If we will go for the building markets supplying the
wire/cables we will need to acquire the AS/NZS
3000:2007) standards. In order to sell things in the
market , The BS standard and the AS/NZ standards
are pretty much the same.
Company like Cardiffcable who has recently pass
the cables of AS/NZ standard has also set up the
office and warehouse in Perth and in Sydney to
market their goods in their entire market.
Since Ampec is having a well establish name we
can try to have a JV to set up the office for the
supplies, and in New Zealand we can tie up with
Data World , Due to the shipping cost from Australia
to New Zealand are high because of the Tasman of
Pacific Ocean is a high risk sea between both
countries therefore the forwarders are charging
high for the route shipping,
56. • Since both countries are lack of populations
in the past and hence there are many
migration to the country building ,
constructions , labor work will be highly
recommend occupations to enroll the public
to have more works and have more task
force for the community for a better
environment.
• The Australia –New Zealand Closer Economic
Relations Trade Agreement is one of the most
comprehensive bilateral free trade
agreements in existence. It covers
substantially all trans-Tasman trade in goods,
including agricultural products, and was the
first to include free trade in services.
• Under the deal Australia has remove the
existing 5 per cent tariff on Chinese
electronics and whitegoods, meaning
cheaper goods for Australian consumers but
some reduction in government revenue.
• The GST paid by our existing customers are
only of 10% which could be refund
57. • Thank you so much for the
opportunity given , I’ve learn
a lot and known so much
about both countries way of
business.
• I look forward for your advise
in the proposal I’ve advise.
•
