Household Energy Storage
Flex, the newest addition to RenonPower's robust energy storage portfolio. This
advanced inverter has been specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with
RenonPower's residential battery storage systems, including the high-performance
Ebrick, Xcellent, and Xtreme series.
By combining the capabilities of Flex with these storage solutions, homeowners
can maximize solar self-consumption, minimize reliance on the grid, and unlock the
full potential of their PV energy system. The Flex inverter allows solar power to
directly charge batteries, power homes, and even export surplus energy back to the

purchases for a 3rd party inverter to integrate with the battery. This streamlines the
purchasing process and ensures that the inverter and battery are designed to work

energy during off-peak hours for use during peak periods,
optimizing energy costs without compromising reliability.
Self-consumption
Charging batteries from the solar system and using the stored
energy at nighttime. Reducing energy supply from the grid.
Energy Surplus
When a sudden outage comes, the battery steps in as backup
power to offer energy to the loads, which avoids any loss
caused by unpredicted outages.
Emergency Backup
When the battery power from the panels is fully charged, the
energy surplus generated by the panels, excluding energy
supply to the loads, can be sold to the grid.
09 ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
System
Performance
The property is expected to consume 15000kWh of electricity
each year. Around 33% of this is expected to be supplied directly
by the solar array. Another 27% is supplied from the storage
battery. The remaining 38% is supplied from the grid. Overall, 58%
of the electricity used in the property is expected to be supplied
by the solar array and battery storage system. Without battery
storage it would be 32%.

After several tests and practical applications, we have calculated the simulated utilization of the battery - the
percentage of available battery capacity that is actually charged and discharged each day (98%). When a
battery is charged and discharged more than once in a day, the utilization rate may exceed 100%. However,
weather or other objective factors may cause the battery to be under-utilized.

The solar PV array is expected to generate a significant amount of
electricity in a typical year. The graph shows whether the energy
generated is used directly in the house, used to charge the batter-
ies, or exported to the grid. 33% of the electricity generated is
expected to be used directly at the property. 28% is directed to
the batteries for later use, although 1% of this is lost during battery
charging and discharging. The remaining generation 38% of the
total is exported to the grid.
