 RELIABILITY:
• “The RELIABILITY of a test is an estimate of the consistency of its
marks”
• A reliable test is one where for example, a student will get the
same mark if he or she takes the test, possibly with a different
examiner, on a Monday morning or a Tuesday afternoon. A test
must be reliable, as a test cannot be valid unless it is reliable.
• Issues of Reliability are called Unreliability.
 FACTORS OF UNRELIABILTY:
• Student related reliability
• Rater Reliability
• Test administration reliability
• Test reliability
 STUDENT RELATED RELIABILTY:
• Student temporary illness
• Fatigue
• Physical & psychological weakness
• Bad day
• Some more issues which can decrease student’s true score.
• Test-wiseness
 RATER RELIABILTY:
• Inter-rater reliability ( 3 checkers for 1 test)
• Intra-rater reliability (1 teacher
• Fatigue of Rater
• Bias of Rater
 TEST ADMINISTRATION RELIABILITY:
• Noise pollution which makes issue for listening
• Photocopying issues
• Amount of lights
• Environment or Temperature issues
• Conditions of Desks and chairs
 TEST RELIABLITY:
• Printing mistakes
• Measurement of Test
• Time for Test
• Handwriting may be issue for understanding.
