NMR has multiple opportunities for copper and gold discoveries across its project portfolio in Western Australia and Queensland. Key projects include the Nullarbor region in WA, where diamond drilling has discovered IOCG-style alteration at the Helios prospect similar to Olympic Dam, and follow-up drilling is underway. In QLD, drilling is planned to commence at the Maneater Breccia project in October 2022, where previous drilling intersected high grades of silver, lead and zinc over significant widths. NMR also holds a large package of tenements in the Palmerville region of QLD, a proven copper and gold province where over 50 targets have already been identified.
The Royalle property is located 175 km north of Vancouver in central British Columbia, near the historic Bralorne-Pioneer gold mining camp. Exploration over the years has identified several gold and copper-tungsten zones, including the Upper Piebiter gold zone and the Chalco copper-tungsten zone. Recent geophysical surveys have outlined structures prospective for porphyry and epithermal mineralization. The property remains underexplored and offers potential for the discovery of bulk tonnage gold deposits and porphyry-related mineralization.

"Does Foreign Direct Investment Negatively Affect Preservation of Culture in the Global South? Case Studies in Thailand and Cambodia."
Do elements of globalization, such as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), negatively affect the ability of countries in the Global South to preserve their culture? This research aims to answer this question by employing a cross-sectional comparative case study analysis utilizing methods of difference. Thailand and Cambodia are compared as they are in the same region and have a similar culture. The metric of difference between Thailand and Cambodia is their ability to preserve their culture. This ability is operationalized by their respective attitudes towards FDI; Thailand imposes stringent regulations and limitations on FDI while Cambodia does not hesitate to accept most FDI and imposes fewer limitations. The evidence from this study suggests that FDI from globally influential countries with high gross domestic products (GDPs) (e.g. China, U.S.) challenges the ability of countries with lower GDPs (e.g. Cambodia) to protect their culture. Furthermore, the ability, or lack thereof, of the receiving countries to protect their culture is amplified by the existence and implementation of restrictive FDI policies imposed by their governments.
My study abroad in Bali, Indonesia, inspired this research topic as I noticed how globalization is changing the culture of its people. I learned their language and way of life which helped me understand the beauty and importance of cultural preservation. I believe we could all benefit from learning new perspectives as they could help us ideate solutions to contemporary issues and empathize with others.

• In 1866 Wallaroo had 36 furnaces burning 10% of
all the coal produced at Newcastle NSW.
• Moonta was the first mine in Australia to pay a
million (pounds) in dividends.

Exploration on the Yorke Peninsula
Bio-geochemical analysis with an optical emission
spectroscopy (OES) finish was used by Captain Hughes, who in
1851 observed…tree roots in the area burnt with green
flames….convincing him strong lodes must exist so he
instructed his shepherds to look for copper”. (Blainey The Rush that
Never Ended)
One James Boor found green pebbles by a Wombat hole near
Kadina, Hughes identified it as copper carbonate, pegged the
ground and with capital from Scottish merchants Elder and
Smith sunk the first of several shafts on the Wallaroo Mines.
Funds returned from this investment helped build the great
Pastoral House of Elder-Smith, and two £20,000 donations by
Hughes and Elder led to the founding of Adelaide University.

Moonta Project exploration history timeline
Exploration at Moonta has been dominated by majors looking for giant deposits.
Leaving opportunity for a smaller company looking for a smaller deposit.
This opportunity is enhanced by dramatically improved copper prices since the mid
2000’s.

traverses drilled to date
• Significant gold is present with copper.
• High grade comes to within 5m of
the surface.
• Valuable mineral chalcocite present.

Moonta Project - key points
• In the right Rocks- the Olympic Copper Gold
Province.
• At the right Depth -The Prospective rocks are
shallow- so cost efficient exploration methods can
be used.
• With the right structure- Alford Fault Zone
• Large companies, left a huge and valuable dataset
• Scale opportunity as they explored for giant deposits
• Opportunity now with historically high copper prices
• A project-wide resource base, is being built
o Willamulka and Paskeville discoveries,
o Promising results from Wombat and Copper Hill,
o the “rediscovery” of prospects like Alford West.
29. #29
Moonta Project Challenges
The project is on high quality agricultural land covered by numerous farms.
Access issues are more significant here than in the outback.
Digitising the historical exploration data is a mammoth undertaking.
It is exceptional value for money, but it will take many months to complete.
With many promising targets
to test, we need
a buoyant market that will
support a persistent
exploration effort to achieve
success.
30. #30
Moonta Project forward focus
• Interpretation of results from recently completed drilling
programs at Paskeville, Wombat and Alford West.
• Modeling and resource estimation for advanced prospects
to begin building project wide mineral inventory.
• Digitising of historical exploration data to highlight additional
opportunities.
• Further, drill dominated exploration to grow resource
position.
