Reiki Hands:
When doing Reiki, a person must hold fingers and thumbs of each of their hands snugly together
with no spaces between them. All the client need is a light touch or above their body to get the
Ki flowing (Desy, 2012).
Self-Healing
Positions
1. Put the hands over the face with the fingers touching at the top of the forehead.
2. Put the hands on top of the head and hands close to the top of the ears.
3. Put the hands on the sides of the head over the ears.
4. Put the hands on the back of the head with the bottom of the palms at the base of the
skull.
5. Put the right hand on the throat and the left over the heart.
6. Put both hands on the shoulders close to the neck.
7. Put the hands with the fingers touching on the upper stomach just below the lowest rib.
8. Put the hands on the middle stomach with fingers touching at the navel.
9. Put the hands on the lower stomach with the bottom of the hands near or on the hip bones
and the fingertips on the pubic bone.
10. Put the hands on the middle back with fingers touching.
11. Put the hands on the lower back with the fingertips over the sacrum.
12. Hold the left foot with both hands in a way that is comfortable.
13. Hold the right foot with both hands in a way that is comfortable.
14. Hold the right foot with the right hand and the left foot with the left hand in a way that is
comfortable.
15. Hold the right foot and with the left hand then the left foot with the right hand in a way
that is comfortable (Jones, 2009).
Healing Others
Positions
1. Slowly put the bottom of hands on top of the forehead with fingers resting on the cheeks.
2. Put hands on each side of the head and with hands cupped the over ears and fingers
pointing towards the feet.
3. Put the bottom of your hands together and rest them on the crown of the head with the
fingers stretching toward the ears.
4. Gently hold the head in your hands. The hands are touching, and fingers are at the bottom
of the skull.
5. Put a hands on the collar bone with fingers toward feet and thumbs under the neck.
6. Hands are under the chin and over the throat. One hand is on the other.
7. Put the left hand on that is below the neck and the right over the heart.
8. Put the hands on upper stomach along the ribs.
9. Put the hands on the middle stomach across navel area.
10. Put the hands on the lower stomach across the hip bones.
11. Hold the right foot with both hands in a way that is comfortable.
12. Hold the left foot with both hands in a way that is comfortable.
13. Hold both feet in a way that is comfortable. Also, you may place your palms on the
bottom of the feet.
14. Put the hands on the upper back.
15. Put the hands on the along the upper back.
16. Put the hands on the middle back.
17. Put the hands on the lower back.
18. Place the left hand on the back of the heart and the right on the bottom of the spine. Also,
you may put the left hand on the top of the head and the right on the lower part of the
spine (Jones, 2009).
