Over 300 people attended a luncheon held by American Jewish World Service at the Yale Club in New York City to discuss united support for achieving justice in Darfur. The event featured a keynote speech by the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, and a panel discussion moderated by NBC News anchor Ann Curry and comprising a Darfuri refugee, two journalists, and an advocate working to end the conflict in Darfur. Attendees were urged to take action and contact leaders to display strong support for ending the ongoing genocide.
