screenwriting, and a former BBC Drama Producer.
I am writing to you to recommend Daniel Kemp's'The Owlthat Roared', an animated feature script
which I believe has genuine mainstream appeal for audiences of all ages.
In my over twenty years in the business, it is very rare for me to come across British writers who
tackle this genre with zest and imagination, and yet also with a strong eye forthe commercial
market. The beauty of this script is that it is a story that will play anywhere, whilst at the same time
being truly and uniquely British in its outlook and setting.
Dan's script combines visual imagination, scale, strong characterisation and comedy, and I strongly
