Please accept this letter of recommendation for Chris Nicholson who has
worked at CTV Regina for the last two years.
Chris is an extreme asset and a pleasure to work with. As Assignment Editor, I
know how our newsroom relies and counts on him daily to help us put the best
product on air at CTV News Regina. He has worked on our morning, noon, 6pm, late,
and weekend newscasts and his skills and creativity amaze us. Editing, graphics, and
camera work are just a few of his duties but his talents are so much more.
Chris is very personable and is able to communicate effectively with all staff.
He has a great sense of humour and is able to connect with all the people around him.
He is often in positions where he has to train new employees or interns and they tend
to excel at their new found abilities.
One of the main aspects of most employees at CTV Regina is the ability to
multi-task and Chris is among those who must work various positions and shifts. He
welcomes new challenges and not only does he learn them, he goes out of his way to
find new and creative ways to make them more interesting. For example, when he
fills in as graphics editor and has to create maps or quote boards for our daily news,
he’ll go out of his way to make them better and more original. Our reporters and
news anchors always look forward to Chris’ creative ideas and we admire the final
product.
I can’t say enough good things about Chris but I assure you that he is a great
person to work with. We are fortunate to have him among our staff and I have no
problem giving him a glowing reference.
