In this presentation you can see how my students made handmade recycling bins out of old cartons. It was accomplish within the eTwinning Project "Learning to live like global citizens"
At home, students help with various chores like cooking, cleaning rooms, laying tables, and looking after younger siblings. At school, they help with recycling, assisting younger pupils, and helping teachers. In the neighborhood, they assist elders by carrying bags, visiting ill people, giving bus seats, and helping cross streets. For their country, students collect food and clothes for those in need and collaborate with charitable organizations.

The document describes a school program called "Design for Change" where students in grades 1-4 help raise funds to support elderly people in their community. The students sell handmade cards, colored books, lemonade, and wash vehicles to generate money. They then use the collected funds to provide basic necessities to an elderly home. Some students reflect that they enjoyed the activities, learned practical skills like math and accounting, and better understood the value of hard work through their participation.

This is a presentation of my students while preparing a poster about recycling. It was accomplished within the eTwinning project "Learbing to live like global citizens".
This document discusses a school project involving fairytales and magazine pictures where students put glue and added details. It asks which foods harm teeth and says foods with calcium benefit teeth.
The document discusses creating a logo, with the first sentence thanking someone for their help. The second sentence notes that it is now their turn. The final sentence indicates that the logo creation has been completed.
We are making three different recycling bins - one for paper made by sticking paper on a cardboard box, one for plastic painted blue, and one for cans and metal things painted red. The document encourages recycling by singing a song about not littering and putting items in the proper bins to keep places tidy and clean.
This document describes an experiment to test which items float and which items sink. The experiment tested a plastic spoon, silver spoon, wooden clothes pin, plastic clothes pin, cork lid and plastic cork. The results found that the plastic spoon and plastic lid floated, while the silver spoon sank very fast.

This is a tutorial about how to make hand made soap in the classroom. It was accomplished within the eTwinning Project: "Learning to live like global citizens".
Maya the bee was born from an egg and met her best friend Villy. She was taken care of by Mrs. Kassandra and other worker bees while her mother, the Queen bee, oversees the hive. The hivecomb is made of wax and houses the bees along with stored honey. Students are asked to observe details of the beehive for later use.
The document describes a recycling contest held between classes. Students received points for collecting different recyclable materials like paper, plastic bottles, caps, and batteries. Class C1 and teacher Miss Anna collected the most points and won the contest. All collected materials were sorted and counted to calculate each class's score before being disposed of properly in a recycling bin.

This is a presentation of the farewell meeting we had with our partner school before coming to the end of our eTwinning Project "Learning to live like global citizens"
The document describes the process of creating a drawing of the sea and a ship. First, the title of a book was written. Then drawings from friends were looked at for inspiration. It was decided to draw the sea using a blue round shape. A brown ship for a character named Giannis was also drawn. Details were added to the drawing, including changing the pen size and looking at other schools' drawings for ideas. A mermaid was considered to add to the picture by drawing its tail, swimsuit and body details.
This document describes an eTwinning project where students drew and colored flowers, cut out the petals, wrote nice words for their friends on the petals, and then gave the petal compliments to their friends' flowers. At the end, the students' flowers had petals filled with compliments from friends, and the students expressed their love for each other for just being themselves.
The document discusses a classroom activity where students estimated the cost of ingredients for traditional English breakfast dishes. Students worked in groups to read recipes from a UK children's center that included prices in British pounds. While the document discussed currency conversion, all calculations were done in euros. Students made lists of ingredients and their estimated costs in cents. They then simulated shopping for the ingredients by selecting coins to "pay" for each item. This helped students practice working with different currencies and calculating costs of products that vary between countries.
This is a comic my students made after reading the Greek traditional fairytale "The snake". The whole project was accomplished within the eTwinning project "Deep to the roots of the world's fairytales..."
Hexagon or square cells in the hive combs?Vicky Milioti
1. The document describes an educational activity where students try to determine the shape of cells in a bee hive.
2. Several students suggest different shapes like circles, squares, and hexagons for the cells. They draw examples of each shape.
3. To help decide, they use a computer to generate different cell shapes and fill a hive comb with each to compare empty space.
4. They ultimately determine that hexagon cells fit together with no empty space and can hold more honey than square cells of the same perimeter. Hexagons therefore provide the most efficient use of space and materials for bees.
This document provides step-by-step instructions for creating a children's storybook using an online book creation tool. It describes adding pages, changing page colors, uploading and positioning images, and saving the book as it is being created. The students suggested titles for a joint book project, writing 4 ideas on the whiteboard: "The little dragon", "The kids and the dragon", "The dragon has disappeared", and "The power of collaboration". They then voted on the titles, with "The little dragon" and "The power of collaboration" receiving the most votes.
Students made homemade soap and created posters to advertise their small business selling the soap to classmates. Through the activity, students sorted the soaps by shape and color, set prices, learned polite customer service skills, and gained experience with coins and making change. Their soap products featuring rabbits, cakes, hearts, and other shapes sold out quickly due to high demand from other classes.
This presentation was accomplished for the eTwinning project "The land of Eternal Youth". The students have participated in a Reading Marathon. This presentation is based on the fairytale "The swallow, the sparrow and the ant" which helped students enhance their understanding about migratory birds and orientation.

THE SACRIFICE HOW PRO-PALESTINE PROTESTS STUDENTS ARE SACRIFICING TO CHANGE T...indexPub
The recent surge in pro-Palestine student activism has prompted significant responses from universities, ranging from negotiations and divestment commitments to increased transparency about investments in companies supporting the war on Gaza. This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. However, the researchers call for acknowledging the broader Impact of these sacrifices on the future global movement of FreePalestine.
