Julian Holm Kristensen was a student of Cecilie Skovsbøl Andersen at the Copenhagen School of Design and Technology. He was an ideal student who delivered high quality, creative work both independently and collaboratively. He achieved the highest grades and won an award for his team's work for IKEA. Due to his training in both design and business, he is able to analyze challenges and propose innovative solutions. Based on her experience with Julian, Cecilie highly recommends him as a motivated, professional designer, business developer, and project manager.
• Masters of Design and Innovation (MDI), project outline.
• First objective is that the students get an overall understanding of how the creative process of design thinking works so that they can put it to use for future projects.
• Second main objective is to work on a real project/challenge with a client Ciszak Dalmas, the creators of Il Carrello, in order to develop new ideas from different perspectives: communication, strategy, conceptual and product.
• This is a very practical, hands-on program. We will go through the different design thinking phases focusing on the challenge that a real client has. This approach not only puts the person at the center of our work, but it also taps into Creativity enabling us to develop 'out-of-the-box' solutions.

At the same time inventor, artist, technician and ergonomist, the designer is distinguished by a desire to improve his environment and to take a fresh look at the objects that surround him.
In France, the number of designers would amount to more than 33,000 professionals, for an estimated turnover of € 5.3 billion. For a long time considered as the final touch of a process, the design is today integrated at the earliest into the development of a product , as a factor of innovation and differentiation. In this context, the report "Design in Tech 2017" is without appeal: the future of business through design , including digital design. Investment in design continues to grow (€ 16.6bn in 2015) with double-digit growth in digital design.

Paper of recommendation // Julian Holm Kristensen
I have had the pleasure of having Julian as a student in my classes on Brand Design at The Bachelor
Degree Programme in Design & Business at Copenhagen School of Design and Technology. The
Bachelor Degree Programme in Design & Business is aimed towards the lifestyle industry and the
students acquire skills on the theory and practice associated with it.
As Julian’s former Brand Design lecturer I know Julian as a very dedicated, committed, talented and
active student. Julian has been an ideal student. He is able to generate creative and innovative work on
his own as well as working as a team player. He has been able to achieve the highest grades and my
deepest respect as he has demonstrated outstanding leadership and high ambitions.
Julian has a great drive and has always delivered products of a high quality. He is an outstanding
debater and he is also a talented concept developer. He has within a team of 5 students won an award
for making one of the best solutions for IKEA among 8 teams at Brand Design (2015).
Even though Brand Design is challenging, Julian has managed to have a relevant student job at Danish
Technological Institute as a Brand Designer, while he was following my course.
Due to the unique combination of Design and Business at Copenhagen School of Design & Technology,
Julian is trained to understand current challenges a company faces in complex markets. By well-
documented analysis he is able to suggest innovative and competitive solutions, in both theoretical
and practical ways.
Based on my experience I can highly recommend Julian to anyone, who wants a motivated and
professional designer, business developer and project manager on their team. I trust he will contribute
positively and perform well in the challenges he will face. I wish Julian all the best.
Best regards,
Cecilie Skovsbøl Andersen
