I am writing this letter on behalf of Mohamad Khairil Hisham Osman. Mohamad has
served as a tutor in the Academic Support Center (ASC) for almost 3 years. He tutors an
average of 10-15 students in various subjects with a primary focus on Calculus.
I have found Mohamad to be a reliable tutor. He always makes himself available to the
students and is ready to help. He immerses himself whole-heartedly into his duties and
does so with a genuine enthusiasm. His command of the material he is tutoring has been
exceptional. I especially appreciate his proactive approach in keeping in touch with his
tutees. That kind of work ethic not only benefits the students, but it also helps to enhance
the reputation of the Tutoring Program and Academic Support Center here at Stevens.
Mohamad’s involvement with the ASC coupled with his positive and professional
demeanor has made him a very good tutor. This is what one of his assigned tutees had to
say about him on a recent survey. “My tutor was extremely knowledgeable and taught in
a more understandable way than the teacher himself. He definitely helped me improve
my grade.” His approachable and friendly personality has made Mohamad a valuable
