Spelling Drill
A synonym is a word similar in meaning to another word.
Writers often use a synonym to make a sentence more effective.
For example:
After waiting for the bus for over an hour, Mandi
felt annoyed, frustrated and infuriated!
Why do you think the writer here
eventually chose the word infuriated?
How is it different from annoyed
or frustrated?
