Daniel Reads Kleptomaniac: Who's Really Robbing God Anyway? Dr. Frank Chase Jr
Monetary tithing has been taught as an undisputed fact in churches for centuries. Kleptomaniac: Who's Really Robbing God Anyway challenges that assumption and puts modern tithe teachings to the microscope of scripture. This book examines the word tithe from the original Hebrew language and presents the authentic meaning of the the orthodox term based on the land, language and literature of the Hebrew people.
For church-goers who are tired of being told they rob God of tithes and offerings every Saturday and Sunday, and that God requires a tenth of their income until death, this new book opens the biblical scroll and shines a light on the truth of scripture by debunking centuries-old tithe doctrines, which say a tithe is ten percent of a person's income. The author also explains why many church-goers are not the ones who really rob God. But exposes who the real God robbers are in this shocking tithe manifesto.

What is giving? What is tithing? The answer to that question depends on how you interpret the Bible. In this presentation Dr. Frank Chase Jr discusses the giving practices Hebrew/Jewish perspective. The slides also give reasons why pastors should work a full-time job because Apostle Paul was a tent maker who worked while spreading the Gospel. Many of the historical documents cautioned against gospel workers not to be dependent and to avoid becoming a public charge by making a living at something other than through preaching and teaching the Bible. A man who preaches and refuses to work will often resort to relying on charity by becomming a public charge which Paul frowned upon. In the presentation, you will see a part of my research for my book, Kleptomaniac: Who's Really Robbing God Anyway? Over the years, I've read and studied a lot about tithing and this one thing I know for sure, God never said he wanted money as a tithe. In fact, the Hebrew word for tithe the Ma'aser. It means tenth part. The tenth part that Ma'aser refers to everything eatable. The Bible does mention money but money was never paid to the priests or Levites as a tithe. Not one single occupation in the Bible that a person had ever cough up ten percent to temple. So if the Bible is clear on tithing and who paid the actual agricultural, herd and flock tithe, then why do people persist to perpetuate and non-biblical monetary tithe system that the foreign to the scriptures. This book is an expose' on what biblical tithing really is. The author writes in detail about who and why the Bibles was changed to support a monetary tithe outside of the confines of the scriptures.
Many people think christians are suppose to bring their tithe--a tenth of their pay--to the church and give the money to the Lord. It has been said that the church is the storehouse. However, if you notice, most traditional churches have a similar design style. What should be shocking is that this image is not a church. It is a barn, where the tithe of crops and cattle were brought the storehouse. In the Bible, storehouse was a type of a barn for storage of crops and cattle. The church is not a storehouse for tithes of money. The real tithe is brought to a barn.

Tithing is a subject many people think they understand, but when theological truth is presented, the game changes and now Christians in the church must face the facts of scriptural truth about tithing income and what God really requires as a tithe. This book exposes what's been hidden for centuries about tithing and explains the what the tithe is and is not.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
