Anthony Cascella, 41, was arrested and charged with robbery, burglary, and larceny for his alleged involvement in two armed robberies in Torrington, Connecticut in the early morning hours. He is accused of invading a residential treatment home around 2 AM, confronting a resident with a knife, and stealing cash and keys. A police K-9 tracked the suspect's scent but did not find him. Around 5 AM, Cascella is alleged to have committed an armed robbery at a convenience store. He is being held on $500,000 bond. Police indicate Cascella acted alone in both cases.
