New look set for Accrington
Garages dealership
• Accrington Garages modernise their showroom and service centre
in line with corporate standards
• Funding from The Royal Bank of Scotland supports
refurbishment programme
• Industry award received in recognition of high level customer service
Accrington Garages has announced a refurbishment programme at its
dealership, thanks to funding support provided by The Royal Bank of Scotland
in a deal worth £200,000.
The showroom and service centre on the Burnley Road will be upgraded and
modernised as part of the planned renovations, bringing the dealership in line with
Vauxhall Corporate standards. Works are underway with a view to completing the
programme this month which has been partly self-funded alongside a cash injection
worth £175,000 from the bank.
Established in 1993, Accrington Garages is still today a family business run by father,
Wal Singh and sons, Moni and Jag. The company employs over 20 full-time staff and
last year achieved a turnover of £4 million.
The team at Accrington Garages has secured a Vauxhall Customer Excellence Award,
placing it amongst the best dealers in the UK. Every year the British manufacturer
recognises customer reviews and rewards top performing retailers for their exemplary
levels of customer service in both sales and aftersales.
Wal Singh, Managing Director of Accrington Garages explains, “We are really
excited about the refurbishment works and look forward to seeing the finished results
which will provide a comfortable, modern setting to display our new and used cars.
“The icing on the cake this year was winning the Vauxhall Customer Excellence
Award which is a real achievement for all the staff here at Accrington. After being in
the trade for 22 years, I am proud to say those same family values still exist in our
business today.
“David Mitchell and the team at RBS have been instrumental in allowing the
refurbishment to take place. We have worked in partnership with them since we
started out in business in 1993 and the support we have received during this time has
been excellent.”
David Mitchell, Relationship Director of Motor Retail at The Royal Bank of
Scotland said: “I am pleased we can support companies in the industry, like
Accrington Garages, seeking to make improvements to their business. The new-look
showroom and service centre will no doubt create a modern setting well suited to the
cars they sell.”
