This document discusses endangered species and how human population growth has endangered many plant and animal species that humans depend on for survival. It was created by students at Ramagya School in Noida, India for a British Council ISA project on making brochures. The activity aimed to make students aware that overpopulation has put ecosystems out of balance and endangered many species.

3. INTRODUCTION
This activity made the students aware that the
booming human population growth over the last
two centuries has put, and continues to put, many
of these life-sustaining systems out of balance and
in serious jeopardy, endangering many of the plant
and animal species that human beings directly and
indirectly depend upon for long-term survival.
Children came to know that endangered species
are facing a high risk of extinction in the near
future.
