Édouard Lucas in 1883. There is a story about an Indian temple in
Kashi Vishwanath which contains a large room with three
time-worn posts in it surrounded by 64 golden disks. Brahmin
priests, acting out the command of an ancient prophecy, have
been moving these disks, in accordance with the immutable rules
of the Brahma, since that time. According to the legend, when the
last move of the puzzle will be completed, the world will end. If the
legend were true, and if the priests were able to move disks at a

would take them 264−1 seconds or roughly 585 billion years or

pregnant wife Jeannie, he agreed to guide two criminals through the
chemical plant where he previously worked so that they could rob the
playing card company next to it. During the planning, the police inform
him that his wife had died in a household accident. Grief-stricken, the
engineer tried to withdraw from the plan, but the criminals strong-armed
him into keeping his commitment to them. Once inside the plant, they
encounter security personnel, a shootout ensues, and the two criminals
are killed. The engineer then jumps into the chemical plant's waste pound
lock and is swept through a pipe leading to the outside. Once outside, he
discovers to his horror that the chemicals have permanently disfigured
him. The engineer's disfigurement, compounded with the loss of his
family, drives him completely insane. Who is born thus?
44. Q - The Magdeburg hemispheres experiment is a famous physics experiment that was first performed
around 1650 by Otto Von Guericke. He constructed two half spheres that perfectly fitted to form a
complete sphere. With a self-designed but still primitive vacuum pump, most of the air was pumped
out of the sphere. Under these circumstances, the atmospheric pressure on the outside of the sphere
firmly kept the two halves together. He then went on to show that 2 teams of 8 horses could not pull
these two halves apart. In a later attempt, even 20 horses were unable to overcome the atmospheric
pressure.
Two very famous brands X and Y draw inspiration from this experiment and have included this in their
logo. X is an American brand established in 1853 while Y is a very famous product owned by an Indian
Brand established in 1959.
52. Q - The Iriquois Theatre fire was the deadliest theatre fire
and the deadliest single-building fire in United States
history. The fire touched off a human stampede inside the
theatre that claimed at least 602 lives as a result of the fire
despite the theatre having 27 exit points. What fundamental
structural flaw of the theatre prevented people from
escaping? This incident later prompted changes to all public
places henceforth.
56. Q - X is a concentrated squash. It was formulated in 1906 in Ghaziabad, India by
Naqi Ali Shah, and launched from Old Delhi, India. Currently, X is manufactured by
the companies founded by him and his sons, “Y, India” , “Y, Pakistan” and “Y,
Bangladesh”. After 1947, the company split between his sons after one of them
decided to migrate to pakistan after the Partition and later expanded to
Bangladesh. X was in news in May 2019 when Y, Pakistan offered to help Y,India by
supplying X due to its shortage.
Other companies formulate the same un-patented recipe in these countries as well.
The specific Unani recipe of X combines several ingredients popularly believed to
be cooling agents, such as coriander, spinach and mint, which is used as a remedy
for loo (the hot summer winds of Northern India).
ID X.
60. Q - “Because gold is softer and more malleable than other metals, one way to determine
whether or not something is real gold is by biting into it — if it's authentic, your teeth will leave
an indentation” and this is the reason why Olympic Medallists pose while biting their medals.
However, during the 15th Summer Paralympics in Rio a few athletes were seen posing holding
their medals closer to their ‘Head’ rather than biting them, What prompted them to do this?
62. Answer
The athletes were visually impaired and the
medals were modified to include metal balls that
could be heard when rattled , Gold, Silver and
Bronze each having a distinct sound.
64. Q - As early as the mid-1700s, a “XY” referred to savory pies made with lamb served
at the X-Y club in London. (X was a nickname at the time for the name Christopher;
so, when Christopher Y began making pies for the men looking to discuss literature,
the pies—and the clubs themselves—became known as XY’s). However, Christopher
Y started selling something sweeter later on and name XY stuck to his new creation
instead. During WW- II, due to food shortages the recipe of XY had to lose milk from
its ingredients which led to the ‘Dark’ variant of XY. By 1969, XY’s had became a very
well known product in England and Rowntree (the original company to produce the
XY) was looking to enter the US market and they did so by selling the recipe to an
American Multinational Company ‘A’ that was already established in the USA.and
thus added XY’s. However, XY’s now are sold in rest of the world by ‘B’ except in USA
where ‘A’ sells them. This also the reason why there is a huge variety of XY’s in other
countries as compared to the USA.
ID XY, A, B.
68. Q - This tradition was started more than 250 years ago by King
George II in 1748. The original time to hold the King’s X event was
November, which in the UK is not known for its great weather. But
King George wanted it to be possible to have a big public
celebration - and November wasn't the time do it. So, given that
November wouldn't be a good time of year for a parade, he
decided to combine it with an annual military parade in the
summer, when the weather would hopefully be nice. And so this is
where the tradition of an official, public summer X began. This is
the reason why there is a 41-gun salute in Hyde Park, a 21-gun
salute in Windsor Great Park and a 62-gun salute at the Tower of
London on the second Monday of June. What tradition is being
talked about?
72. Q - Orders from all over the world skyrocketed after a video clip
titled “_____ of Champions” was posted on YouTube showing how
perfect Hagoromo’s _____ is — one even going so far as to say its
special ingredient must be “angel tears.” Often called the “Rolls
Royce of _____” when Hagoromo declared that they were closing
down in February 2020 this led to people belonging to a certain
industry to hoard years of stock at once. What does Hagoromo
produce that is essential for a particular industry, which however, is
seeing decline in profits due to other technological advancements
in the industry.
76. Q - The idea of using X to reinforce clothing was a brainchild of Jacob
Davis and was inspired by horse blankets. These horse blankets were
made using X for strength. Jacob discovered that the day to day mining
activities used to take a toll on the miners’ clothing. Their clothes would
rip apart from pressure and stress of carrying heavy tools in their pockets
as well as the constant wear and tear of dipping in and out of the pocket
to place or take out the tools. Therefore, he used Xs to reinforce the
strength and durability of the clothing. In 1872, Jacob Davis sent a detailed
letter to Y requesting partnership to scale up his operation since Y was an
already established enterprise in the US that was operating in many
regions. In 1873, Y partnered up with Jacob, and together they applied and
got a patent. What little (in size) but very important innovation did Jacob
bring to clothing that especially revolutionized Y’s product i.e ID X and Y.
