This document proposes a mobile phone application connected to the cloud to enable cashless payment of public transportation fares. It describes how passengers could register an account, recharge an e-wallet, receive ride confirmations, and have fares deducted from their wallet balance. Conductors could then verify tickets using e-validator machines connected to the bus database in the cloud. The model aims to eliminate the need to carry coins while streamlining the ticketing process.

The document discusses soy/soya, including its traditional and modern uses, the industries that use it, health benefits and concerns. Traditionally, soy was used to produce foods like tofu and soy sauce, but now it is mainly used as soy protein isolates and concentrates in various industries like pharmaceutical, food, chemicals. While soy has benefits as a protein source and in disease prevention, there are growing concerns about its effects including allergies, genetically modified products, and environmental impacts.
The document presents a flowchart tool for PowerPoint that allows users to create flowcharts visually. It contains examples of common flowchart elements like processes, decisions, predefined processes, and alternative processes. The tool also includes examples of incorporating descriptive text into the flowcharts. Users can replace the example text and shapes to design their own customized flowcharts.

The document discusses mobile wallets, which are electronic accounts held on mobile phones that can store and transfer currency value. It describes the mobile wallet ecosystem, which includes services that enable and support mobile wallets. This ecosystem includes issuing banks, payment networks, acquiring banks, hardware providers, software providers, mobile carriers, merchants and point of sale providers. The document outlines the different types of users in the mobile wallet system, including buyers and sellers, and discusses several examples of existing mobile wallets like Google Wallet, PayPal, Square Wallet, Level Up and ISIS. It also covers how mobile wallets make money and highlights user concerns about security and complexity.
This document outlines an accounts receivable process for a company. It involves collecting a 50% deposit upfront from new clients in the form of a check or credit card. If payment is declined, work is discontinued or alternate payment is sought. After design work is completed, an invoice is sent for the remaining 50% balance. If not paid within 30 days, the account is sent to collections. Production only begins once full payment is received.
Product Design & Process Selection-Manufacturing Joshua Miranda
This chapter discusses product design and manufacturing process selection. It covers typical phases of product development like concept development and product engineering. It emphasizes concurrent engineering where functions work simultaneously to reduce time and costs. It also discusses designing for customers through techniques like quality function deployment and value analysis. The chapter then covers different types of manufacturing processes and considerations for process flow design and global product design.
One wasteful place where money flows out the door in small businesses is in late fees. Invoices get paid late when they are out of sight. Having an accounts payable process in place that includes visual cues can reduce, even eliminate paying fees, fines and penalties associated with missed or past due invoices.
This document provides an overview of trends in the mobile wallet industry. It discusses the current mobile wallet ecosystem which is dominated by financial service providers and telecommunications companies regulated by financial authorities. It also examines factors influencing consumer adoption of mobile wallets like security, usability and behavior. Examples from Indonesia and the Philippines are provided on using mobile wallets for government financial disbursements and digital remittances. Emerging technologies like blockchain are discussed in the context of their potential applications and drivers of growth. Regulatory approaches to cryptocurrencies across different countries are reviewed.
Helping Pharmas Manage Compliance Risks for Speaker ProgramsCognizant
To avoid stiff fees, reputation damage and the imposition of corporate integrity agreements (CIAs), pharmaceuticals companies need to monitor their speaker programs carefully for compliance to a suite of regulations. We identify those rules and outline a rigorous process based on relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) that will enable pharmas to head off these potential major hits to their bottom line.
The document contains examples of flowcharts and pseudocode for calculating pay, summing numbers, averaging numbers, calculating pay with overtime, averaging numbers using while and for loops, and defining a function to calculate an average. The examples demonstrate different programming structures like sequence, selection, and iteration to solve common mathematical problems. A comment notes that gotos make code less readable compared to other looping structures like while and for loops.

Total Quality Management (TQM) focuses on meeting customer expectations through integrated organizational efforts to improve quality. TQM involves focusing on customers, continuous improvement, quality at the source, employee empowerment, and using quality tools like teams, benchmarking and supplier certification. Quality has four dimensions - design, conformance, ease of use, and post-sale support. There are costs of quality including prevention, appraisal, and failure costs. Tools like QFD, control charts, Pareto analysis and others are used to manage quality. Awards like the MBNQA and certifications like ISO help drive quality improvement.
This document discusses Quality Function Deployment (QFD), which is a process used by companies to ensure products meet customer specifications. QFD involves capturing the voice of the engineer and customer to determine benchmarks and specifications. It also includes adding trade-offs and targets to develop final product specifications based on customer needs and technical considerations.
This document discusses weekly financial management activities. It mentions buying and closing activities being done on a weekly basis. No other details are provided about what is being bought or closed.

3. Describe the components of a normal electrocardiogram of a typical bipolar lead (limb II)
4. Differentiate between intervals and segments
5. Enlist some common indications for obtaining an ECG
6. Describe the flow of current around the heart during the cardiac cycle
7. Discuss the placement and polarity of the leads of electrocardiograph
8. Describe the normal electrocardiograms recorded from the limb leads and explain the physiological basis of the different records that are obtained
9. Define mean electrical vector (axis) of the heart and give the normal range
10. Define the mean QRS vector
11. Describe the axes of leads (hexagonal reference system)
12. Comprehend the vectorial analysis of the normal ECG
13. Determine the mean electrical axis of the ventricular QRS and appreciate the mean axis deviation

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.
