The path consists of three certification tracks:
• Python Certification Track 1: General-Purpose Programming (PCEP™, PCAP™,

• Python Certification Track 3: Data Analytics (PCAD™ exam)

Entry Level
PCEP™ – Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer certification adds more value for entry level
programmers who want to familiarize with universal computer programming concepts like data
types, containers, functions, conditions, loops, as well as Python programming language syntax,
semantics, and the runtime environment.
The PCEP exam has been upgraded to the new version PCEP-30-02 with additional syllabus such
as Exceptions. Note that the older exam (PCEP-30-01) is still available through December 31,
2022.

Entry Level
• The PCEP Certification never expires once you achieve (lifetime validity).
• The PCEP certification does not require any prerequisites.You are free to attend this exam
without any prior Python certification.
• The latest PCEP-30-02 exam duration is 40 minutes and the older PCEP-30-01 exam is 45
minutes.
• The total number of questions for both PCEP-30-02 and PCEP-30-01 exams are just 30
question with single- and multiple-select questions, drag & drop, gap fill, sort, code fill, code
insertion | Python 3.
• The passing Score for PCEP certification is 70%.
• The cost is around 60 USD (check the offical PCEP page for the current cost).
• The PCEP exam can be taken in English or Spanish.

PCAP™ – Certified Associate in Python Programming certification adds more value for

Professional Level
There are two levels of Python Professional Certifications:
1. PCPP1™ – Certified Professional in Python Programming 1
2. PCPP2™ – Certified Professional in Python Programming 2
The PCPP1 (Python Professional 1) is currently active and available for Python
professional certification aspirants. The PCPP2 (Python Professional 2) is expected to
be available in early 2023 or at the end of 2022.
