Pyramids are 3D triangular structures that were built as tombs for pharaohs in ancient Egypt. The largest pyramid, the Great Pyramid of Giza, was constructed for the pharaoh Khufu and stands 147 meters tall, while the smallest pyramid was only 52 meters and built for pharaoh Pepi II. Pyramids served as the final resting places for pharaohs so that after their death and mummification, their bodies could make the journey to the afterlife.
