A STUDY ON READY MIXED CONCRETE USING INDEPENDENT SAMPLE T-TEST THROUGH SPSS ...A Makwana
The Indian Construction industry has been traditionally labour oriented. The pace of
mechanization in the past was very slow due to the availability of cheap and abundant labour,
lack of capital investment and highly fragmented nature of the construction sector. The Ready
Mixed Concrete is a dynamic resource for the construction industry, which must periodically
re-evaluate its position in relation to the economy, the nation, local industry, and especially
with the customer. Highly-developed economies bring changes in market conditions. A
change which has been occurring is the change from a product to a service-related market.
This change occurs earlier in mass consumer products and lags behind in more static products
like those in the construction industry. This conversion from product to service is taking
place now in the construction industry. The Ready Mixed Concrete Industry has traditionally
made its profit for Infrastructural development. Objective of this research paper is to prove
that Ready Mixed Concrete utilization is beneficial compare to Conventional Mixed Concrete
in Charotar Region of Central Gujarat. During this research work various factors interrelated
to Ready Mixed Concrete are being identified and converted into questionnaire to carry out
surveys. Software like Microsoft Excel and SPSS Statistics (Statistical Package for the Social
Sciences) are adopted to evaluate the responses collected from the people by Independent-
Samples T Test.
POTENTIAL OPTION FOR COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMIC (CFD) SCHEME IN BIODIESEL ST...IAEME Publication
Biodiesel fuel represents a unique opportunity in the current global energy
scenario owing to its sustainability, renewability and potential to be universally
accessible. Experimental and analytical works have established a mismatch between
fuel chemistry and current diesel engine design. This, to some extent, accounts for
observed challenges in performance and emissions from engines running on biodiesel.
Computational schemes have played an increasingly important role in defining the
scope of these challenges. Computational models’ reliability has improved over time
in predicting engine performance and emissions. Identifying a combustion strategy
that works best for biodiesel is a research imperative. This review presents some of
the strategies that have the potential to enhance biodiesel’s advantages and mitigate
the observed challenges

Selection of optimal air pollution control strategieseSAT Journals
Abstract
Sustainable development needs social, economic, energy and environmental sustainability. We propose a model to minimize the total cost consisting of economic cost of pollution control equipment, health cost because of pollutants emissions. We developed a Mixed Integer Non Linear Programming (MINLP) based model for selection of optimal air pollution control strategy. The model considers multiple pollutants, multiple emission sources and multiple control equipments. Constraints like budget and efficiency of control equipment are included in the model. Affect of emission norms on total cost is discussed. The efficacy of the proposed model is explained by considering simulation case studies of a typical cement plant and a thermal power plant.
Keywords: sustainable development, economic cost, environmental cost, mixed integer non linear programming, optimization.
