INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the world of gluten-free bread
making, a journey that promises
deliciousness without compromising on
health. Gluten-free bread is an excellent
alternative for individuals with gluten
sensitivities or those seeking a healthier
lifestyle. In this presentation, we'll explore
the ingredients, preparation method,
benefits, and usage of gluten-free bread.
Ingredients
3 tbsps flax seed powder
1 tbsp fresh yeast
3 tbsps castor sugar
1 cup white rice flour
1 cup corn flour1 cup tapioca flour
1½ tsps salt
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1¼ cup butter softened,
White sesame seeds for sprinkling
Basic Ingredients
Preparation Method
1. Activate the Yeast: - In a small bowl,
combine the warm water and sugar (or
honey). - Sprinkle the yeast over the
water mixture and let it sit for 5-10
minutes until it becomes frothy.
2. Prepare the Dry Ingredients: - In a
separate bowl, mix the gluten-free flour
blend, potato starch, tapioca starch,
xanthan gum, and salt.
3. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: - In a
large mixing bowl, combine the yeast
mixture, eggs, olive oil, and apple cider
vinegar (if using). - Gradually add the
dry ingredients while mixing until you
have a smooth, sticky dough. You can use
a stand mixer for this step.
Preparation Method
4. Knead and Shape: - Transfer the dough into a
greased or lined loaf pan. - Use wet hands to
smooth and shape the dough in the pan.
5. Let It Rise: - Cover the pan with plastic wrap and
let the dough rise for 30-45 minutes, or until it has
doubled in size.
6. Preheat the Oven: - Preheat your oven to 375°F
(190°C) while the dough is rising.
7. Bake: - Remove the plastic wrap and bake the
bread in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or
until it's golden brown and sounds hollow when
tapped.
8. Cool and Slice: - Allow the bread to cool in the
pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack
to cool completely. - Once cooled, slice and enjoy
your homemade gluten-free bread!
