5. We decided to use old, rusty tools to reflect our sub genre. It’s all
the essential tools that would be needed to carry out a successful
kidnapping. Some of the tools were symbolic and used as a way or
as clues to an underlying mystery for example the close up of the
hammer, when picked up the audience don’t know what the
abductors intention was to use it. Having these tools helps the
story come alive, and helps the audience activate their
imagination more readily as to what the abductor is going to do
with them.
