Donnette worked on several wind farm projects as an environmental scientist from June 2008 to January 2009, providing project management support and environmental impact assessments. She assisted with consenting and environmental impact assessments for wind farms in Cumbria and northern England. Donnette also helped discharge planning conditions for a wind farm in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, and managed the early planning phases of projects on the Isle of Skye in Scotland and in Kenya. Her roles included liaising with clients, managing teams, and coordinating environmental impact reports and geographic information systems data.
