Project Sales Corp completed several projects in 2004 to improve reliability of transmission systems. They applied Dow Corning's Sylgard HVIC coating to insulators at a 400kV substation to protect against flashovers. They also sealed the valve hall of an HVDC station against moisture and dust using various Dow Corning and 3M sealants. When a CT blasted at a power plant, they used Devcon epoxy putty and coating to repair damaged insulators. Project Sales Corp looks forward to finishing remaining insulator coating work and assisting customers with maintenance and repair needs in 2005.
