Pro Bono Programme an Overview
What do others think?
“The many “gates” that block charities, especially smaller charities, from accessing professional support services are
often opened in the Inspiring Scotland relationship, not least by Inspiring Scotland’s cultivation of a network of more
than 150 firms and individuals that provide the services on a pro bono basis”. (Isserman, N., University of Cambridge, 2013 The Practices,
Impact and Implications of Inspiring Scotland’s First Five Years - An Independent Research Report on an Innovative Third Sector Financing Model)
“When I first heard about Inspiring Scotland, I instinctively liked the model; a commercial and outcome based approach
which is tackling some really tough and important issues........I hope my experience in strategic leadership, customer
operations, financial management and leading transformational change, will bring strength and help our charity to
continue to grow”. (Pro Bono Trustee)
“The pro bono support has been invaluable to the development of us into a more business like organisation. We
would never have been able to pay for the support we have had from very experienced and highly qualified business
people”. (Charity Leader)
“The in-depth knowledge that our Performance Advisor has of our charity enriches and accelerates what is possible.
This is then further enhanced by the expertise and knowledge available from the Pro Bono network......being
supported by Inspiring Scotland is so much more than just receiving money; the impact of its legacy will never leave us
and the lives of young people being supported.” (Charity Leader)
