The homeowners charged us to develop a landscape design for both the front and backyard of a brand new remodeled 1950s ranch house that takes advantage of the Coastal Traditional architecture style well asking us to use existing materials on the site wherever possible. The desired amenities included a gated and fenced entry courtyard, an expanded rear hardscape area off of the rear of the house for socializing/dining that takes advanced of the views of the backyard, raised vegetable gardens, a dog run, a rose garden, zen garden retreat with room for seating and a water feature, custom designed stone veneer seat wall to anchor the rear yard to the house. The Landscape Plan incorporated low to medium water use plant materials, white flowering plants in the enclosed front courtyard, shade trees for summer cooling and tall hedges to screen the surrounding neighbors, that also provides low maintenance and an aesthetically pleasing landscaped garden.
