A PRET MANGER is well known and the most
admired brand in the UK which they create and
sell an organic, fresh natural food e.g.
Sandwiches, salads, snacks, soups and sushi,
also they create an organic coffee too. They
grow up universally and until Apr 2015 they’ve
374 branches worldwide in the UK, USA,
France and Hong Kong and Shanghai.
- Providing the handmade fresh food that they
product themselves in daily bases to meet
the standard of worldwide customers.
- Corporate culture of PRET A MANGER in the
worldwide branches is the same.
- Looking after integrity, credibility,
excellence and the walk the talk.
- Staff motivation, harmony rewarding through
performing their tasks.
- Satisfaction and value of their customers.
 Scientific (Taylorism & Fordism ).
 Administrative ( Fayol ).
 Bureaucracy (M. Weber).
- PRET A MANGER planned at first place that their fresh
food are served in a daily bases what is left from is sent to
charity or thrown away.
- PRAT A MANGER ( One best way) keep doing the same
service of producing fresh, organic, and natural food.
- Each shop of PRET A Manger has a kitchen.
- Division of labour, each staff knows what task need to be
perormed.
 Heads ensure that staff are informed what needs
to be done at the shop.
 PRET A MANGER’s managers are ensuring that
each employee is following the rules and all
work is done in the right way .
 Heads make decisions to ensure the growth of
the business.
5 Hierarchy of Maslow:-

. Social.
. Esteem.
. Self Actualization.
Experiments of Hawthorn & Elton Mayo:-
. Studying workers.
. Productivity despite.
.
 PRET A MANGER motivate their staff and this
encourage them to perform better in their tasks.
 Rewarding through efficient work is produced by
the staff and positive comment received by
name.
 Staff feel secured at work because of the
turnover of the business and respect showed by
the heads and being observed through their
tasks.
 Social events e.g. Staff parties ,talking them to
the pubs, Xmas Parities..etc.
 Management show respect to the staff and staff
are very well behaved.
 PRET A MANGER they use both closed system
and open system they’ve their internal rules
and to ensure all staff perform their task and
which effect the outside through output and
in communication with the customers
through e mails as well.
 PRET A MANGER adapted their food to
customer in New York by selling begets which
they don't sell in the UK and they sell the
filter coffee witch is called American coffee.
 PRET A MANGER apply management theories:
 Scientific administrative and bureaucracy- the
human relation approach and employees been
observed and also applying Maslow 5 Heraichey
needs.
 PRETA MANGER also applied systems theory:
 Close system and open system.
 PRET A MANGER apply the contingency approach
by adapting themselves to demands of the
customer in new York- begets instead of
sandwiches and more filtered coffee.
 PRET A MANGER adopt a corporate culture
through out: natural fresh food and serving
customers well.
