What is Multimedia?
Text, sound, image and video are known as multimedia components. Multimedia can be used to
convey information to people effectively. It has brought fundamental changes to the way people
learn, play and find information.
Audio:

Music :
The meaning of music is not unique, however, and is much debated among scholars because of the
different meanings used in the various historical periods. Etymologically the word derives from the
greek music
Voice (narration singing ect):
The human voice is the sound produced in the larynx by the vibration of the vocal cords due to
occlusion of the exhaled air from the lungs through the glottis. The vocal tone is influenced mainly
by the morphological characteristics of the vocal cords, but also by the physical structure in general.
Ambient sound:
The ambient music evolved in the early twentieth century, with the first experiments in music
"sound seeds"
With the developments after they discovered the elements 'dreamy' non-linear music environment
applied to some forms of rhythmic music presented by the premises "chill" and raves and other
dance events, but always with the main functionality of the music captures the mood of the listener,
and get it out of their own conscience.

What is a Multimedia product?
Multimedia products is a computers games ,websites and DVDs which combine text, sound, images
and video to present information. Text, sound, image and video are known as multimedia
components and the combination of these components is multimedia.
Multimedia can be used to take information to people effectively. It has brought important changes
to the way people learn, play and find information.
There are several types of multimedia products available in today’s world, such as:
• Computerlaptops
• USB
• Smart phones
• IPadtablets
• GamesConsole
• Camera
• IPodMp3 players
• Headphone
• Interactive board
In Education computer use to learn, research, interact with users, E-learning such as New Learning
allows teachers and students to access educational resources.
Advertising and Marketing uses internet to produce flash movie, banners, Pop-up windows and
many more. They also use internet to research, to produce monthly newsletters and to check emails.
Games are interactive in today’s world. Game console, Nintendo contain sound, images and text.
also contain animations and uses in games.
Public service uses multimedia products such as touch screen in shopping centres, self-checkout in
supermarket which allows them to find information, navigate and to search products.
Internet website design contain images, text, audio and video-internet allows you to connect with
people e.g. Facebook, Skype etc. You can also use to do research, find information, check emails and
online shopping.
