This is my favorite piece by
Ortega because it shows that
Ortega is using tools to fix
something internal, because
all of the tools are facing
inwards.
5. Tortillas Construction Module, 1998,

I love this piece by Ortega because he
shows that art really can be made out of
anything that you have laying around,
including food, like tortillas.
6. Esquema del mundo: EstratigrafΓas, 2014
Polyurethane foam, bamboo, tissue paper,
newspaper, kraft paper, cardboard, sisal,
styrofoam and adhesive
βEsquema del mundoβ means βoutline of the
world.β So this piece by Ortega is believed to
be a representation of the inside of the
earth.
I like his use of medium because it reminds
me of our cardboard project.
