The Importance of Teambuilding in
Schools
Team building with faculty and staff begins with an orientation that serves as a
reminder of the importance of teamwork in a school setting. Following
orientation, the process of trust-building begins. Sharing, risk-taking, and
reliability are key components of the trust-building process. This is quickly
followed by goal clarification. During that element, teachers have the chance
to communicate with executive staff members in order to get on the same
page.
The Importance of Teambuilding in
Schools
At some point during teambuilding activities, discussions must elevate to a
more concrete level. This is when staff and faculty make commitments to one
another and finalize the changes they will begin to implement on the job. The
teambuilding process never truly ends, as members of the faculty and staff
come and go. Schools must remain committed to the teambuilding process in
order to sustain levels of success.
