3. Where is Yunyan Pagoda? The Yunyan Pagoda is at the top of Tiger Hill and it is the oldest pagoda in Suzhou.
4. What are the Pagoda’s other names? ‘Leaning Tower of China’ ‘Tiger Hill’ ‘Huqiu Pagoda’
5. When was it built? It was built in the year 961. It took more than 20 years to build.
6. Why does the Pagoda lean over? TheYunyanpagoda is 47.7 meters high and is octagonal (8 sides). It weighs 7000 tones and is supported by internal brick columns. The pagoda leans 3 degrees because of the cracking of two supporting columns.
