Eiffel is an object-oriented programming language designed to make code more readable and allow programmers to focus on important aspects of a program without getting bogged down in details. It aims to promote simple, extensible, reusable, and reliable solutions through its simplicity. Eiffel was originally developed by Bertrand Meyer at his company Interactive Software Engineering, later renamed Eiffel Software, Inc. in 1986.
