This document summarizes preliminary observations from a case study comparing Italian and English audiodescriptions of the film "Chocolat". The study used corpus linguistic analysis to identify differences in word lists, collocations, concordances, syntactic structures and stylistic elements between the two audio descriptions. Initial findings showed the Italian version used more redundant and complex sentences, personal judgements, and less adequate color descriptions compared to the more standard English version. Further research on additional films and audiences was suggested.
