2. My campaign
My campaign is based around the topic of ‘putting your life online’ it is campaigning
against cyber bullying. I have created two different advertising platforms which are a
poster and a website. My campaign is aimed at a teenage audience, mostly ages 12
to 18. It is based around cyber bullying because a lot of young people get bullied
online. My aim is to Make young people aware of the feelings of cyber bullying
victims and let the victims know that there is help and a way out of it.
4. Research into existing products
This is a very effective advertisement in my opinion because it
is showing in a very serious situation which makes a huge
statement about how cyber bullying can lead to suicide. The
noose in the advertisement is made up of words that a bully
would call somebody. This is showing that just words that may
seem innocent as they are over the internet can still hurt
somebody just as badly as being hurt physically, and it is the
words alone which are driving the victim to do something so
drastic. The blame lies in the bully's words alone as it shows
that it is not the noose that is killing him, it is in fact the words.
The text beside the image makes a huge statement. The
harshest words, 'bullying can kill' are highlighted in red which
connotes blood and death. The rest of the writing is grey
which blends in a lot to the background, this makes it seem
dull and depressing. This could represent how the victim is
feeling, like he is faded into the background and almost
invisible.
