The Bermuda Triangle is an area of the Atlantic Ocean between Miami, Florida, Puerto Rico, and Bermuda where a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Some of the theories for disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle include magnetic anomalies interfering with compasses, violent weather patterns causing disasters, and the Gulf Stream making it difficult to find wrecks. Over 50 ships and 20 airplanes are said to have vanished in the Bermuda Triangle, with around 8000 lives lost. The origins and reasons for these disappearances remain an unsolved mystery.
