HOLIDAYS IN THE USA
Presentation
2
Americans are very fond of celebrating the
New Year at home, spending time with
their friends and family, they sing songs,
tell New Year's stories and just enjoy the
holiday. New Year in the United States is
considered an official holiday, therefore,
January 1, as in the CIS countries, is a day
off. On this day, government offices,
schools, colleges, and many state-owned
enterprises are closed. Public transport
works, but on a holiday schedule. But
December 31 is not an official holiday.

Halloween comes on 31st, but a couple
of days before it - already on October
29-30th, on the streets of cities you can
see children in themed costumes with
baskets for sweets. If someone knocks
on you, then you need to give the
children sweets, but if not, the children
can play a little naughty. Also on
Halloween, there are many themed
parties where you can have fun, drink,
dance and tell scary stories.

Christmas is celebrated on December 25
every year. on this day, the atmosphere
of a holiday is present in everything -
decorated streets and houses, waiting
for Santa Claus and gifts, an abundance
of delicious festive dishes. All this
creates an atmosphere of magic and
expectation of something exciting. Even
people who are not Christians, or
consider themselves non-religious,
