1. Images as LinksI will most likely overlap with the Images Presentation due to the nature of my topic and the similarities.
By: Britt Hulme
2. First we must write
code to produce an
image.
<img src="url(this is where the picture is located)" alt=“(this is a
description of the image in case it does not load properly)">
3. Adjust the size if needed:
• <img src=“(location)" alt=“(description)" style="width:128px;height:128px;">
• You can use the style attribute to specify the width and height of an image.
4. And this is how the tag
is now able to turn the
image into a link.
To use an image as a link, simply nest the <img> tag inside the <a> tag:
<a href=“(destination) example: google.com)”>
<img src=“location” alt=“description” style=“width:42px;height:42px;border:0;”>
</a>
5. Example: If you visit the apple webpage you are able to click
on most images and it directs you to another page or another website.
6. Once I clicked on the image it directed me to this page that gives me details
on the product advertised on the prior page. Images as links create a nice,
neat and detailed way to advertise products and direct customers.
