Dev Bootcamp Chicago mentor informationDave Hoover
Dev Bootcamp is an intensive 20-week program that helps students launch careers in software development. It focuses heavily on Ruby fundamentals and Rails, with students not learning Rails until week 7. The program has 6 phases and students work 100 hour weeks. It is located in Chicago and has a diverse group of students, with mentors assisting students by pairing on challenges, grabbing meals together, inviting students to their workplaces, and working on projects together.
The document discusses the benefits of apprenticeships for software development. It notes that while there is currently a glut of developers, there is a shortage of highly skilled ones. It proposes that companies hire an experienced craftsman to mentor 1-2 apprentices, arguing this will be cheaper than hiring mid-level developers and the apprentices will quickly surpass them in skills. It provides tips for setting up successful apprenticeship programs that benefit both the company and apprentice.
The document discusses challenges in finding experienced software developers and proposes apprenticeships as a solution. It notes a disconnect between demand for skilled people and ability to find them, as well as a shortage of experienced developers despite an abundance of developers overall. The document advocates hiring an experienced craftsman to mentor apprentices and focus on potential over credentials to help address these issues.
The document discusses heedfulness and collective mind in organizations. It suggests retrospecting on the previous week to adapt processes and asks questions about socializing newcomers, rituals and narratives, knowledge sharing, and maintaining trust. It also addresses scaling systems and teams while growing an accepting culture and upbringing.

The use of Celebrity in Television Advertisingspiderhead84
Celebrity endorsements can increase brand awareness and sales by capturing attention. The celebrity is seen benefiting from the product, sending the message that consumers will too. There is a relationship between product type and celebrity used - everyday products like insurance and phones typically use domestic celebrities while aspirational products like cosmetics use film stars. Ultimately, the most successful campaigns match the celebrity's image to the brand's appeal and target audience.
Different forms of television advertising 1spiderhead84
This document outlines the learning aims and objectives of a unit on television advertisement production. It discusses the purpose of advertising to inform and persuade people about new products and services. It also describes different forms and techniques for television advertisements, including realist narratives, anti-realist narratives, documentary style, animation, series ads, stand-alone ads, and ads featuring talking heads. Students are tasked with explaining these different forms through examples in a PowerPoint presentation.
The document discusses the evolution of the World Wide Web towards a Semantic Web, where computers will be able to understand the meaning, context and relationships between data on web pages. It provides an example of how Semantic Web coding could link together different web pages about a professor by relating her faculty page, research, blog and staff listing. This creates a richer experience for users by making more information accessible in an interconnected way. The document then outlines some methods for implementing Semantic Web coding, such as using RDF triples or microformats, and provides examples of microformats being used on web pages.
Facebook Live was originally launched in December 2015 for public figures and celebrities, then fully launched in February 2016. It directly competes with services like Periscope, Meerkat, Twitch and YouTube for live streaming audiences. Facebook Live is fully integrated with Facebook and its Open Graph protocols. The most popular Facebook Live broadcast received over 40 million views.
This document discusses the benefits and challenges of responsive web design, which uses fluid grids and media queries to automatically adjust webpages to display well on different screen sizes. Responsive design improves the user experience across devices, helps websites reach wider audiences, and is more future-proof and search engine optimized compared to separate mobile sites. While retrofitting existing sites can be difficult, responsive design is supported by modern browsers and content management systems.
How apprenticeship helps you win the cooperative game of organizational survival, and sets you up for winning the smaller, finite games of software development.
Techniques and styles used in advertisingspiderhead84
This document discusses persuasive techniques and styles used in advertising. It identifies common styles such as humor, intertextual references/parody, surrealism, and shock/dramatic tactics. It also discusses how humor can make ads more memorable. Intertextual references use other texts to add meaning while surreal ads are ambiguous about the product. Shock tactics in charity and health ads grab attention to convey serious messages. Persuasive techniques discussed that encourage product purchase or raise awareness include emotional appeals like fear, needs/aspirations, and sympathy; providing solutions; advantages over other products; and strong branding. Emotive language and music can evoke emotions while fears, needs, and aspirations are leveraged to influence audiences.

5. Marktonderzoek
Conclusies:
● In de huidige schoolkantines op middelbare scholen
is genoeg plaats voor nieuwe gezonde producten,
vooral als deze erg innoverend zijn.
● Om overgewicht terug te dringen, moeten jongeren
gezondere producten eten en minder calorieën
innemen.
● Jongeren hebben wel behoefte aan gezonde
producten, maar smaak en uitstraling zijn voor
hen de allerbelangrijkste productcriteria.

17. Conclusie
De B-muffin en de B-muffin VEGA kunnen
opgenomen worden als gezonde producten in
schoolkantines.
koek gewenst.
De realistische kostprijsberekening moet nog worden
gemaakt. De huidige kostprijsberekening is
gebaseerd op de ingrediënten.
